The recipe for BUMS universal mortar has been developed for concrete workshops, where rapid solidification and easy processing of the modelling clay are required. Due to its excellent properties BUMS is now used in many design applications. More and more customers swear by this unique, weather-resistant and frostproof material.
BUMS enables a very efficient working technique in which mortar can be quickly applied and removed again. It allows users to continue modelling the concrete immediately after removing any protrusions by scratching (sculpting) while the solidifying stone is still soft. So you can bring your ideas to shape faster and easier than with any other material.
BUMS is white and can be coloured by adding pigments. The recommended maximum amount of colour pigments is 20 g per kg dry matter. The concrete becomes hard and able to be sculpted in 5 to 15 minutes, depending on ambient temperature. This time is reduced when hot water is used for mixing. The adhesiveness of BUMS can be increased by admixing KLEMO adhesive mortar. A mixture of BUMS with GRUMO base mortar or MOMO modelling mortar extends the setting time to up to 2 hours.
